Why New York is a Great Place to Study Language

New York City is a great place to prepare for a career and a foreign language degree in part because the city is a major center of business in the United States. This gives students plenty of opportunity to find internships and employment after college. The foreign-born population in New York City has grown significantly in recent years. About 36% of the population was born in another country, resulting in more opportunities for interpreters, translators and educators. A variety of annual cultural events in the city give students the opportunity to experience other cultures and languages.
