The curriculum draws on theory and practice to help students understand the role of education in solving environmental problems. The 37-credit program includes courses in environmental education, environmental thought, politics, and science; electives; and an internship. Electives allow students to pursue their interests in environmental justice, curriculum design, teacher education, ecology, wildlife education, youth education, or sustainability. Required fieldwork provides a unique urban experience in environmental education.
